All Preys 04:42
In a tropical sewer storm drain of tide I'm hearing whispers, real unbecoming of my mind All praise second sight, loot what you can from the palace of night hurry for the shelter of the sun I took dreams which wandered between the labyrinthine halls strangled voices in a choir, spider conflagration of my soul. By the hills, corruption seemed to touch the sky from the lips of the serpent I can see the dis-ease of the wise. Glimmering diamonds, crystal crowns, jeweled throne and silken gowns; carry what you wish for if you can. ... and now the worm's still turning I wish that it would lie. For all the bridges burning, seems to be no end to your demise. ... and now the wind is blowing and the windows cry for the things you're hoping. All that lives is doomed to never die. All praise second sight, loot what you can from the palace of night hurry for the shelter of the sun. Glimmering diamonds, crystal crowns, jeweled throne and silken gowns; carry what you wish for while you can. All razed. End of flight. Shoot out heaven's balls of light dizzy in the nightmare of the one. Shimmering fragments, misted shroud veiled bones in sickened gowns careful what you wish for if you can.

You love them forever and never can show it, in rocky rose gardens, now you know that you've blown it. The grass bends beneath you, and the dew trickles down to soil from speartips, then under the ground. The roots reach beneath, and they come out in China, and they choke on the air there as they reach their way skyward, touch the roof of a warehouse with a dusty dirt floor while beetles suck skin from the face by the door. The light of the world hangs gray in the heavens, pinholes of dusk drill their wormy way through it, the fatigue of the people stretches over the din in a droning sick whine of the place where they live.

This is a story of what happened, what happened so long ago, a story of a place called Hellhouse underneath a driven snow - at the center of the structure was a screeching seed which fell from a hanged man's dangling feet, death grip of a witch on execution day while his dying eyes are clouded by the dancing flames, and watch now as it rises from deep within the walls, sprouting from its sunless nook to reach behind the halls, and they'd never know. They were so unaware of the shadows which crept behind, they went about their dealings so routinely and so blind, 'til it came one night in a vision, grim indeed to the mind of a man in a terrifying dream, death dripped from the tip of a spiritual blade, poisoning his conscious with the voices of the grave, and on the full moon rises from Charon's blackened dalls enlightening the sunless eyes to see behind the walls and stray ever low. On the door came a heavy rapping, from the floor came a sinister glow as the teeth of the yawning hell mouth unsheathed over fallen souls, at the center of the winter was a damning flame which burned across the cinderous victims' frames, death reached from the phantoms 'cross ethereal halls while their dying cries are muted by the cold, grasping palms and now the stars are righted above this winter's night, calling to the sunless depths to come and drown the light, and take it below. Down... I told 'em the story of Hellhouse, I told them not to go, still you never listen! They never listen, no. Every time it just happens again, same old game you never win, death grip on the handle at the slots arcade, spinning the wheels, spinning the wheels of hate.

You had forgotten something, and stepped back to recall. In a place you're not remembering, the corners start to crawl. I can hear you breathing, I can feel the cold. Over dismal cities, over quivering flames where seasons turn to centuries in a final, hollow reign, I can know your dreaming. I can feel your soul. Always in the wandering on the edge of mortal minds, unthinking and undying, over land of monsters rise. I can feel you with me, I can sense you're alone. No purpose deceiving, I'm just as near to you.

Walk with me, I'll take you far away. I know where we're going, we're going underground, far away in the fabulous land of dreams, far beneath the lonely sod where an ever-flowing stream washes on. I can see the distant lights. I can still see the distant lights burning through the distant night, burning through my empty eyes cold like stones where the river flows, its waves direct me down towards, cast my gaze through climbs below, never stopping, waiting there. I can see it coming, millions people working there, finger puppets on a giant hand hammering the last nails in. Were you ever lonely, now you'll be without feelings you are only one now fall in doubt underneath this shadow where things are not the same. Take a look behind it and you'll notice how they change. Fall with me through ever-grasping hand, through waves on the water of a distant shore, through assembly-line minds of the land below, through the shade, in the fabulous land of dreams far beneath the lonely sod, and the shade of a thousand trees, far and gone. I can feel the distant lights, I can still feel the distant lights burning in the distant night, burning through my lonely eyes cold I rose where the frozen rows of daggers hang towards the crystal floor, cast my gaze down climbs below, never stopping, waiting there. I can see it coming, winds down a tunnel lurking there, doors all shut by a million hands which reach to open them again far away, far away, far away. Were you ever lonely, now you'll be without feelings you're the only one now fall under doubt underneath this shadow where things are not the same, take a look behind it and you'll notice how they change. Die with me.

Just east of this city there's a place I knew, although it wasn't very long, I swear to you, it's true. In Winder, something lost inside there. In Winder, if you're looking, you might find her. Misty days, milling around, having a ball at the old mill ground, like dogs in dreams, it (something) pulled them far beyond countless flights calling out beneath the night to take their lives where no one ever sees again. The song of my soul is an old, dead flame burning for something that's outside my range. I know my voice is dead, torn to shreds with the last of my pain. Hear it now, like a whistling from the caves, it hisses in its loneliness where the memories lose their shape in Winder, they won't ever find ya. In Winder, they were left behind there. In Winder, spirit sinks inside her. Somewhere in the trees there, taking pieces with you in silence where nobody remembers, in Winder your dreams are trying to find you. In Winder, the mud engulfs the mind there, taking pieces with ya, they won't ever find you.

I took a liking to your face, swore it would never be replaced. Oh, it's such a sin, how it happened then, when a gentle wind blew it away. I didn't follow it that day, I never saw the place it lay, out there in the heart of a vacant forest park, staring at the stars when daylight fades. Oh, it goes so quickly it hardly ever even lasts a day, no it never lasts for you, there's never a clear view, and glimpses through it quickly go away. I walk the darkened streets alone, past shaded lanes and empty homes, oh it's always true, no matter what you do, you can never truly see another soul.

Carlton Heston Atlanta, Georgia

If you're reading this - Gods of the Dead is the good one. Listen to that first if you're going to listen to anything on here. It's actually pretty solid.

Atlanta Monsters' Ball is also nice.
